Conservation Services

A comprehensive range of services is provided to heritage organisations,
museums, art galleries and private individuals.

Free advice is available by phone on all aspects of the conservation and
restoration of easel paintings, frames, wall paintings and other painted
surfaces. We also provide collection care and preventive conservation,
collection surveys, climate and lighting advice, guidence on exhibition
and storage environments, handling, packing and transportation, and an
emergency service for works damaged by water, fire and other disasters.

Detailed inspection services are also available; ultra-violet and infra-red
reflectography, x-radiography, microscopy for cross-sections, pigment
dispersions, and access to extensive research facilities.
