Elizabeth Holford
 
 

Elizabeth Holford has some 27 years' experience in easel and wall painting conservation, working first for English Heritage followed by over 20 years with the Museum Council for the South West. During this period other projects were undertaken, the ceiling of the Presence Chamber at Windsor Castle, painted by Antonio Verrio, the Rubens ceiling in the Banquetting House, Whitehall, and Queen Charlotte's Cottage, Kew.

She was the British participant on the ICCROM Mural Conservation Course in 1995, in Intern at the Opificio delle Pietre Dure, Florence, and an ICCROM consultant to the UNESCO wall painting mission in Sri Lanka for several years.

     

She is now an independent and designated conservator for the AMSCW. She is experienced in not only easel and wall paintings, but all painted surfaces.

 

She works in association with Christoph Oldenbourg on wall painting projects. She is an Associate Member of IIC, UKIC, APBR, and an ICCROM consultant. She was also elected Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts in 1998.
